Arlene Bernice (O’Toole) Meek, age 67, of 17 Oak Street, Shelby, died Thursday morning, April 22, 1999 at her home.
Mrs. Meek was born August 30, 1931 in Roger City, Michigan. She was a 1949 graduate of
Shelby High School and retired from Thorn Autocall in Shelby. She was a member of A.A.R.P . and was active with the March Of Dimes.
Mrs. Meek is survived by her husband, William Leroy Meek, whom she wed on October 23,
1950; 2 daughters and 1 son-in-law: Sandra Kay Velarde, and Sherrie Lynn and Tom
Wilson, all of Shelby; a son and daughter-in-law: William Lee and Jean Meek of Bradenton, Florida; 5 grandchildren: Ryan, Andrew, and Angela Wilson, Justin Meek, and Nikkia Velarde; a great grandson, Tristan Velarde; a sister and brother-in-law: Patricia and Bill Meyers of RoseviiIe, Michigan; her mother, Lena (Tober) O’Toole Shrank of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Arleigh O’Toole; a sister, Elinor Allen; and a brother, James O’Toole.
Private services will be held for the family at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby with Rev.
