Brandon Allen Bays, 17, of 3116 Hummel Road, Shelby, died Tuesday, April 30, 2002, as a result of a pedestrian/train accident.
Brandon was born January 2, 1985 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and was currently a student at Pioneer Career and Technology Center studying horticulture. He was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his father, Charles Dean McNutt of Glouster; his mother, Deanna Jean (Walker) Bays of Shelby; his stepfather, Richard Allen Bays of Shelby; his stepmother, Luz-Ellen Bays of Shelby; three brothers: Richard N. Bays of Mansfield, Jacob A. Bays and Joshua Q. Bays, both of Shelby; five sisters: April Artz of Shelby, Angela Chenevey, Jennifer Chenevey, Elizabeth Chenevey, and Christina Chenevey, all of Wooster; grandparents: Charles J. McNutt of Glouster, Aruss and Jean Walker of Mansfield, and David and Luci Grimmer of Shelby.
Calling hours will be on Thursday, May 2, 2002, from 7-9 p.m. at Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main St., Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Four Corners Cemetery near Butler. Memorial expressions may be made to the family.
