Shelby native Catherine Louise Johnston, 72, of 8 Riverside Drive, Jupiter, FL, died Sunday evening at the Palm Beach Martin County Hospital in Jupiter following a brief illness.
Born Jan. 23, 1913 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Roland and Laura (Marlow) Mickey. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Florida and had been an employee at the former Shelby Salesbook Co. before moving from the area 35 years ago.
She is survived by two sons: Noland and Mickey, both of Jupiter; and one granddaughter.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. Reid Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
