Dale Joseph Keller, age 76, of Shelby, died Monday, September 4, 2017 at the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby.

Dale was born March 11, 1941 in Crestline, the son of the late Stephen Henry and Martha Amelia (Brown) Keller. Dale was a lifelong farmer, farming the family farm where he lived his entire life. Dale was an incredible polite and simple man who enjoyed walking, especially his dog, Buddy, and mowing grass at the farm. He was a life time member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Bethlehem, Shelby Settlement.

Dale is survived by a sister: Sr. Marilyn (Bernice) Keller O.S.F. of Tiffin; a brother and sister-in-law: Stephen and Margaret Keller of Shelby; a sister in law: Edna Keller of Columbus; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Mary Pauline Keller and Florence Gabele; and 4 brothers: Urban Keller, Carl Keller, Norbert “Shorty” Keller, and his twin brother, Br. Richard Keller CSC.

Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5742 State Route 61 South, Shelby, celebrated by Fr. Chris Bohnsack. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Sacred Heart School. Care for Dale and his family by Catherine , Bob, and Jake at Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby.
