David L. Alt, age 57, formerly of Shelby, died Friday, March 12, 2004 at Oak Grove Manor in Mansfield.
David was born April 8, 1946 in Shelby the son of the late Eugene and Cecil (Miller) Alt. He was an employee of Newhope Industries and a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. David loved playing the guitar and impersonating Elvis.
David is survived by a sister, Mary Studer of Crestline; 3 brothers, William Phillip and Janette Alt of Florida, Albert Allan Alt of Sandusky, Daniel L. and Barbara Alt of Shelby; a brother-in-law, Leonard Rietschlin of Crestline; Nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Idonna Rietschlin, a brother Richard Alt and a brother-in-law, Charles Studer.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 from 9-10:30 AM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby with Father Nick Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial expressions may be made to Richland New Hope.
