Delilah Mae May, lovingly known as Granny or Aunt Do, age 85, of Shelby, died Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Crestwood Care Center.

She was born February 7, 1924 in Rowan County, Kentucky the daughter of the late Asa and Roxie (Forman) Perry. She was a certified nursing assistant at CrestwoodCareCenter for 22 years. She was a founding member of the First Church of God where she was a daycare and Sunday school teacher for many years.

She is survived by a son and his wife: Thomas and Kathleen May of Fremont; 2 grandsons and their wives: Thomas and Jessica May of Tiffin, Timothy and Julie May of Maine; 8 great grandchildren including Courtney Nicole; a brother: Charles Perry of Noblesville, IN; Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Calvin Perry and her husband, Robert W. May on May 28, 1976.

Friends may call on Thursday, December 3, 2009, from Noon – 1:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby where funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM by Rev. Rich Cloyed. Burial will be in OaklandCemetery in Shelby. Memorial expressions may be made to the First Church of God. The family would appreciate on-line condolences at
