Dora Ethel Gregory Johnson, 90, of Morehead, KY, died Tuesday morning at Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.
Born Sept. 23, 1902, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Blankenship) Gregory. She lived all of her life in the Rowan County, KY area. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church of Morehead.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. John (Lee) Rietveld; two sons and daughters-in-law: Levon and Yvonne Johnson and John “Junior” and Mickey Johnson, all of Shelby; one daughter-in-
law, Mrs. Chick (Freda) Johnson of Morehead; 20 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Mrs. Ernest (Hattie) Sparkman and Mrs. Linda Johnson Lowe.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse B. Johnson, in 1964; one daughter, Garnet Templeman, in 1975; one son, lvo (Chuck) Johnson in 1991; two sons-in-law, John Rietveld, in 1989, and Cletis Templeman, in 1992; three brothers and two sisters.
Calling hours will begin at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Northcut Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday. Burial will be at Ditney Ridge Cemetery.
The Turner Funeral Home, Shelby, assisted the family with local arrangements.
