Evelyn Irene (Haverfield) O’Hearn, age 86, formerly of 71 Blymyer Avenue, Mansfield, died Tuesday evening, January 4, 2005 at the Heritage Care Center in Shelby.
Evelyn was born July 12, 1918 in Jackson Township, Richland County, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl Clayton and Blanche Elizabeth (Wertz) Haverfield. On August 31, 1974 she married James Lee O’Hearn and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1975. Evelyn retired in 1979 from Uforma Shelby Business Forms. She was a member of the Ontario United Methodist Church, Ontario Senior Citizens and AARP.
She is survived by 10 nieces and nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents and her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Lauren and Charles Haverfield and 2 sisters, Mildred Roberts and Betty Holloman.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 6, 2005 from 6-8 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM with Rev. James Winkler officiating. Burial will be in Little London Cemetery on Plymouth Springmill Road, east of Shelby.
