James A. Russell, age 57, of 3721 Plymouth Springmill Road, Shelby, Ohio, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at his home after a short illness.
He was born July 11, 1947 in Marion, Ohio. Jim was a 1965 graduate of Shelby High School and served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. He was an employee of Sabin Robbins Paper Company in Mansfield for the past 6 years. Prior to that, he was an employee of the R.R. Donnelley Company in Willard. Jim enjoyed refinishing furniture, refurbishing cars, home remodeling and antique cars.
Jim is survived by a son, Mark Russell of Mansfield; 3 daughters, Angela (Dean) Downing of Ashland, Ivy Strong of Shelby, and Jamy Russell of Lexington; 8 grandchildren; His father, Ray Russell of Shelby; a brother, Ellsworth (Evelyn) Russell of Shelby; 2 sisters, Luella Conley of Shelby and Clariene (John) Stiteler of Shelby; His loving companion, Margie Swinehart of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Garrett Russell.
Friends may call on Friday, July 8, 2005 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street, Shelby, where funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM.
