James E. Roub, Sr., age 73, of 1496 West Fourth Street, Mansfield, Ohio, died Saturday February 8, 1997 in Med Central Mansfield Hospital after a short illness. He was born December 6, 1923 in Berwick, Pennsylvania the son of William Akron and Julia Lucinda (Parks) Roub.
Mr. Roub retired in January of 1975 from Copperweld-Shelby Division . He was an Army veteran of W.W.II.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Delores (Lilly) Roub, whom he wed on August 21, 1955; 1 son James E. Roub, Jr. of Mansfield, Ohio; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Joseph F. Roub of Altoona, Pennsylvania; 3 sisters, Eva Noel , Adaline Villani both of Altoona, Pennsylvania and Mildred Estep of Bellwood , Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, William Roub and Charles Roub and by 1 sister, Anna Sneath.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home, 168 West Main Street in Shelby and also on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. at the Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Avenue, Altoona, Pennsylvania, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Grossman of the First Baptist Church in Altoona, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Altoona.
