Jennie O. Miller, age 87, of 2000 Springmill, Mansfield and formerly of 26 Grove Avenue, Shelby, died Sunday June 28, 1998 in Med Central Shelby Hospital after a long illness.
She was born August 12, 1910 in Denmark the daughter of Thomas Wilhelm and Oline Mariane (Knudsen) Anderson. Mrs. Miller was a retired employee of Copperweld-Shelby Division. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Shelby and was a charter member of the Shelby Eagles.
Mrs. Miller is survived by 1 son and daughter-in-law, Ardon R. “Sonny” and Doris “Dee” Miller of Mansfield; 2 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; 1 step grandson; 2 sisters and 1 brother-in-law, Ida Boyle of North Carolina and Nellie and Serge Bonecutter of Mansfield; a sister-in-law, Sue Miller of Shelby. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles LeRoy “Catter” Miller in 1986, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6-8 P.M. at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Jack Sersig officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Shelby.
