Jimmy Lee Jarvis, 50, of 115 West Park Drive, died Tuesday morning at his home following a
short illness.

Born March 15, 1936 in Wellston to Nelson and Josephine (Brown) Jarvis, he lived in the Shelby and Ashland area for the past 16 years.

He was an employee of Bud Young Chevrolet and Oldsmobile Inc. and attended the Taylortown Community Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lenora (Hess) Jarvis, whom he married March 27, 1971; one son,
Michael James Jarvis at home; one brother, Franklin Jarvis of Wilksville; and two sisters: Mrs. Calvin (Alice) Lambert and Ruth Bevard, both of Wellston.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Taylortown Community Church wIth his pastor, Rev. F. Joseph Obrochta, officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 a.nd 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Turner Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Taylortown Community Church and can be left at the funeral home.
