Joanne E. Taylor, 59, of 52 Pearl Drive died Sunday morning at her home after a short illness.
She was born Dec. 28, 1926, in Mansfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby and had been secretary/treasurer of Pioneer Storage in Mansfield.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband, Robert E. Taylor, whom she married Sept. 16, 1950; her mother, Viola Ryan of Mansfield; and one brother, James R. Ryan of Houston, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ryan.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Shelby by the Rev. Carl G. Beighley, her pastor. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Calling hours are any time after 3 p.m. today at the Turner Funeral Home in Shelby, where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left at the funeral home.
