Ruth E. Dick, age 94, of 145 Mansfield Avenue, Shelby, died Tuesday morning in Shelby Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was born July 12, 1895 in Huron County, Ohio the daughter of Henry and Harriet (Mellott) Fidler.
Mrs. Dick was a homemaker. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby, the ladies Bible Sunday school class, United Methodist Women Circle #4, and Golden Agers.
Mrs. Dick is survived by 1 son Edwin Dick of Shelby, 1 daughter, Mrs. Mervin (Eileen) Tomlinson of Shelby; 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Rolla Dick in 1970, 3 grandchildren, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Shelby with her pastor the Rev. Dr. Carl G. Beighley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Turner Funeral Home.
Memorial expressions may be made to the First United Methodist Church and left in care of the funeral home.
