Walter A. Strauch, West Main Street, Shelby, died late Wednesday at Blake Memorial Hospital, Bradenton, FL.

Born Jan. 11, 1903, he was a retired foreman from the bindery department at the former Shelby Salesbook Company. He was a lifelong member of the First United Church of Christ in Shelby.
He also was a member and Post Master of Shelby Lodge 350 F.& A.M. and Shelby Chapter 178, Royal Arch Masons. He held memberships in the Mansfield Council and Mansfield Commandary. He
was a patron of Rizpah Chapter 153 Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are one brother, Lowell, of Shelby, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sisters: Helen Strauch and Miriam Scheerer.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Turner Funeral Home with Rev. John J. Bradley officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the First United Church of Christ and left at the funeral home.
